Spin Out 2012 Cancelled

Unfortunately due to low ticket sales and impending costs of event fees, Spin Out 2012 has been cancelled. Those who have already purchased tickets will receive their refund Monday, May 14th. If you do not receive your refund please contact safiredance@gmail.com Refunds will be sent to the PayPal account you originally used for payment.

Refunds have been issued & sent directly back to whomever purchased through PayPal.
This means:

# 1. If you had someone else buy your ticket for you, contact them as they have received your refund.

# 2. If you sold someone your ticket you likely have their refund, please carry forth the transaction & be sure the money gets to the right hands.

Spin Out Fire Festival 2012

          Spin Out is unlike any other festival in Canada. A weekend get away created specifically for prop manipulators and fire dancers. With over 25 workshops in spinning and circus arts Spin Out is a weekend suitable for all skill levels and a gathering not to be missed. Spin Out provides showers and heated cabins, and delicious vegan, vegetarian and meat-atarian meals so you can relax and focus on learning new skills and making new friends. This multi-prop event includes workshops in poi, staff, hooping, buugeng, yoga, aerial, dancing, fire eating, fire safety, juggling, balloon twisting and more! Other great features include DJs, dance parties, free time to socialize, a fire jam, a marketplace, games and performances.

Amazing Food Provided!



Spin Out is a unique festival with a retreat like atmosphere as we provide more amenities than most festivals. One service we provide is daily meals catered for all food types. Meal provided with include a range of dishes and will be appropriate for meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten-free.  A big thanks to the amazing and talented Lisa Wong for feeding all our hungry bodies!

Meal Schedules

Thursday: Those who participate in early entry much bring snacks and meals to sustain them until Friday evening’s Potluck.

Friday Daytime: Please have eaten a good meal before arriving to the festival and bring snacks to sustain you until the evening Potluck.

Friday Evening: Potluck Dinner, please bring a dish to share. Label your food container and drop-off when you check-in so food can be put in the camp cooler.

Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch AND Dinner provided.

Sunday: Breakfast, Lunch AND Dinner provided.

Monday: Breakfast provided.

Flowscience Prop Store

This year we’re bringing in prop and juggling vendor Flowscience will be joining us at Spin Out. Find all your spinning needs here, shop from a local provider and save on shipping! Flowscience holds a range of products from LED, fire and daytime toys. Poi, staff, hula hoops and more! Check out the marketplace and leave the festival with a new and inspiring toy!  

Flowscience is run by Carla Snow of Flowlab. Check out her website for hooping classes in Edmonton as well as cool prop related events and workshops throughout the year.

Infinity Costumes Accessories

Cozy Heated Cabins for Festival Comfort!


At Spin Out we provide heated cabins for your comfort. With bunk beds for that summer camp feel you can bunk with friends or challenge yourself to meet new people and bunk with strangers over the weekend. Cabins are not pre-booked, you will have to sign into a cabin upon arriving at the event. If you want to stay with friends then sign yourself and your friends into a cabin. Make sure when you arrive that you check to see if someone else has signed you or your friends in already, if not, sign everyone up, get directions and head to your new home away from home!
